Oh dear! It has come to my notice – thanks to one sharp-eyed reviewer named Isis – that I manage to kill off Sir John Seymour, father of Jane Seymour, rather early! I’m not quite sure how I managed it, but on page 24 of the paperback version I mention that Seymour was dead by the time Jane returned to Wolf Hall after Catherine of Aragon’s household was disbanded in 1533. Of course, Seymour didn’t die until December 1536, after his daughter had become queen.
Apologies for the error and please be assured that it will be corrected in the second edition.
